As part of a facility redesign at the RACV Cobram Resort, we worked with a pool designer and landscape architect to create an indoor pool pavilion that related closely to the overall facility design.
A highly technical brief, we were tasked with creating a structure with good connection to the outside pool facilities but with its own identity. A building that opened up fully but took into account poolside safety. A space involving glass that avoided structurally damaging condensation, and factored in outdoor toilet and shower facilities as well as disabled access.
To that end, Co-lab Architecture worked closely with the mechanical engineers to design a structure with optimal air circulation in order to extend the longevity of the building. Furthermore, we carefully integrated the colour schemes, materials and details put forward by the pool and landscape architects in order to create a cohesive, accessible and enjoyable recreational space.
