Developed as an exemplar of the Montessori method of education, Murray Road was designed to foster independence in children.

The centre facilitates this through implementing self-directed design, such as a self-serviced kitchen, whereby children are encouraged to take a hands-on approach to their learning. Large, open floor plans and pervious interfaces between indoor and outdoor space aid the teaching program.

We acknowledge that we work on Indigenous lands and that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present, and acknowledge the pivotal role that First Nations people continue to play within our communities.
