Co-Lab Architects has designed a number of childcare centres – these range from integrating and adapting older buildings, to creating new standalone centres. As varied are the locations in which these appear, from the suburban context to the city fringe where new housing developments are occurring. These centres not only respond to the needs of small children, designing furniture and spaces that respond to their requirements, but also cater for the concern of parents who want to be assured that when they drop off their children first thing in the morning that safety and security is at a premium.
